• Our short strap is ideal for all small & rangefinder-style cameras. It perfectly complements the Leica M-System, Fujifilm X-Series (like the X100VI or X-Pro), and vintage 35mm analog cameras. Equipped with durable split rings, it securely attaches to any camera.

Will the metal hardware scratch my camera body?

• Not at all. As a brand founded by photographers for photographers, protecting your gear is our top priority. Our updated strap features a tiny, ultra-secure rivet for maximum durability, but every strap comes with custom leather bumpers included. These protective discs sit between the metal rings and your camera body, ensuring your valuable rangefinder remains 100% scratch-free.

What kind of leather do we use, and how does it feel?

• We craft our straps using only the finest materials available: legendary Horween leather from Chicago, USA, and premium hides from A&A Crack in England. Right out of the box, the leather is remarkably soft, supple, and very comfortable against your skin or neck. There is no stiff "break-in" period required.

Why is it called a "Short Strap"?

• The 70cm length is the absolute sweet spot for the "street photography carry." Ready to shoot! Instead of letting your camera bounce uncomfortably around your stomach like standard straps, our short strap keeps your gear high and tight on your chest. It provides a secure, bounce-free experience while keeping your camera instantly ready for your eye when the decisive moment happens.

Are other lengths available?

• Yes. We now have a 100cm (40inch) version and also a Custom Length strap. For individual wishes, just send us an email.

What makes the Studio J|A strap different from others?

• It is designed by photographers, for photographers. We stripped away all unnecessary bulk to create a highly minimalist, sleek, and premium look. It doesn’t scream for attention; instead, it perfectly complements the classic, high-end aesthetics of your camera without ever getting in your way.

Is the strap strong enough for my everyday carry ?

• Absolutely. Despite its highly minimalist design and soft feel, the premium leather combined with our new secure rivet construction makes the strap robust.

How do I care for the leather? Can I use it in the rain?

• Both our Horween and A&A Crack leathers are packed with natural oils and waxes, making them naturally resilient. They require very little maintenance. If you get caught in a light rain shower during a photo walk, simply wipe the strap with a clean, dry cloth and let it air dry naturally. Otherwise, the best care is simply to use it.

Will the look of the leather change over time?

• Yes. Because we use premium, naturally tanned leathers from Horween and A&A Crack, your strap will absorb the natural oils from your hands and gracefully age with you. Over time, it gets softer and will develop a beautiful, rich patina.

What exactly does "Handcrafted in Germany" mean?

• It means we don't mass-produce in factories. Every single strap is cut, finished, and assembled by hand in our workshop in Germany. We inspect every piece of leather and pack it carefully. Find more in the "The Workshop" (Story) section
