These Terms & Conditions are legally binding under German law and are provided in German language for compliance purposes. For convenience, an English translation can be requested at any time.

1) Scope

1.1 These Terms & Conditions (hereinafter “T&C”) of Studio J|A, a brand of Sichtexot GmbH (hereinafter “Seller”), apply to all contracts for the delivery of goods concluded between a consumer or entrepreneur (hereinafter “Customer”) and the Seller with regard to the goods presented in the Seller’s online shop. The inclusion of the Customer’s own terms is hereby rejected unless otherwise agreed.

1.2 A consumer within the meaning of these T&C is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly outside their commercial or independent professional activity. An entrepreneur is a natural or legal person or a partnership with legal capacity acting in the exercise of its commercial or independent professional activity when concluding a legal transaction.


2) Conclusion of Contract

2.1 The product descriptions contained in the Seller’s online shop do not constitute binding offers by the Seller but serve as an invitation for the Customer to submit a binding offer.

2.2 The Customer may submit an offer via the online order form integrated into the Seller’s online shop. After placing selected goods in the virtual shopping cart and completing the electronic ordering process, the Customer submits a legally binding contractual offer regarding the goods contained in the cart by clicking the button that completes the order process.

2.3 The Seller may accept the Customer’s offer within five days by:

  • sending the Customer a written order confirmation or confirmation in text form (fax or email), whereby receipt of the confirmation by the Customer is decisive; or
  • delivering the ordered goods to the Customer, whereby receipt of the goods by the Customer is decisive; or
  • requesting payment from the Customer after the order has been placed.

If multiple of the above alternatives apply, the contract is concluded at the time when one of these alternatives occurs first. The acceptance period begins on the day after the Customer submits the offer and ends on the fifth day following submission. If the Seller does not accept the offer within this period, it is deemed rejected, and the Customer is no longer bound by their declaration.

2.4 If a payment method offered by PayPal is selected, payment processing is carried out via PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., Luxembourg (“PayPal”), subject to PayPal’s user agreement. If the Customer selects a PayPal payment method, the Seller already declares acceptance of the Customer’s offer at the time the Customer completes the order process.

2.5 After conclusion of the contract, the contract text is stored by the Seller and sent to the Customer in text form (e.g. email). No further access to the contract text is provided. If the Customer has created a user account, order data will be stored and can be accessed via the account.

2.6 Before submitting the order, the Customer may identify input errors using standard browser functions.

2.7 The contract is concluded exclusively in the German language.

2.8 Order processing and communication are generally carried out via email and automated systems. The Customer must ensure that the provided email address is correct and capable of receiving emails.


3) Right of Withdrawal

3.1 Consumers have a statutory right of withdrawal.

3.2 Further information is provided in the Seller’s withdrawal policy.

3.3 The right of withdrawal does not apply to consumers who are not residents of an EU member state and whose sole residence and delivery address are outside the European Union at the time of contract conclusion.


4) Prices and Payment Terms

4.1 Unless otherwise stated, prices are total prices including statutory VAT. Additional shipping costs are specified separately.

4.2 Additional costs may arise for deliveries outside the EU (e.g. customs duties, transfer fees, exchange rate fees), which are borne by the Customer.

4.3 Available payment methods are displayed in the online shop.

4.4 For payments via Shopify Payments, processing is handled by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd., Ireland. Further information is available on Shopify’s website.


5) Delivery and Shipping Conditions

5.1 Delivery is made to the address provided by the Customer.

5.2 If delivery fails due to the Customer’s fault, the Customer bears the resulting costs.

5.3 Self-collection is not possible.

5.4 If an item is marked as a “pre-order,” the entire order will be shipped once all items are available.


6) Retention of Title

If the Seller makes advance delivery, ownership remains with the Seller until full payment has been received.


7) Liability for Defects (Warranty)

7.1 Statutory warranty rights apply.

7.2 Customers are requested to report obvious transport damage to the carrier and inform the Seller accordingly.


8) Redemption of Promotional Vouchers

9) Applicable Law

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, subject to mandatory consumer protection laws.


10) Jurisdiction

For merchants and business customers, the place of jurisdiction is the Seller’s registered office.


11) Alternative Dispute Resolution

11.1 The EU Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform:

11.2 The Seller is neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
